Horribly slow service and Bartenders not friendly on nore than one occasion. Overpriced. Will not patronize even when local bands I follow are playing.
Horrible. The only reason I came here was because my friend was celebrating her birthday. I was here once before years ago and it's still terrible. The food is gross and the water tasted terrible. Bartenders make up the prices of drinks and had attitudes. $9 for a glass of wine, $5 for a beer inside and $10 for the same beer outside. Spoke to the manager who was at least nice enough to give me money back and a free drink. Do not use a debit/credit card here. I will never be back again.
Vera is good place to go day or night. Great location. Free parking..Free to get in. Except for upstairs or if it's a event you have to pay to get in the place period. Wheelchair accessible. Food menu.drink menu.. Pricing is reasonable. ..
This spot has gone through so many branding transitions! First time I went here it was Top Dog, it was something else, then Beer Garden, and now Vera. When I went to Vera for my best friend's 30th. I did thoroughly enjoy myself. They played a mix of today's music with some bangers from the early 2,000's that took me back to my college days. My drink was mixed well and it was great atmosphere. They even stepped their game up and got some go go dancers for the stage areas, where in the Top Dog days they use to have this old drunk guy swaying around like every night I went there. South Jersey has few club spots so if you don't feel like going to Philly it's decent.
This is definitely a recommended place to go!
I played in the band. We've been there many times. Good time.
The outside bar is good for sports and smoking. In the summer its open area and when it starts getting cold, they'll close it with plastic tarp. The other part of the outside section is romantic with tiki torches , cute pond. I believe they have a small bar in this section in the summer.
Always been a great place to go. Even when it was formerly called Top Dog. It's about four places in one. Night Lounge with dance floor upstairs. Music that fits everyone taste.Nice bar downstairs that's good for socializing. They have Tv's and booths as well. This whole section is good for a date.
